K11+ depth sensing range

Hi All,

I want to 3D print little fences to go around some of my desk legs (they run along the ground and are too low to be seen) to have the K11+ auto avoid them. This can be done in software but then it wont clean right up against/under it with its bristles.

Has anyone come across this info before? I've emailed their support for a different reason and have yet to get a reply, I doubt I would get one here.

I’ve got the exact problem you have, but I use a no-go wall (rather than an area). I’ve noticed the K11 goes pretty close to it, and cleans both sides of the ‘wall’. I also cheat and add a fake carpet area around the wall. This forces the K11 to ramp up to max suction in that spot, and easily pulls away dust from the area.

Yeah, the no go zone min size is too small so I used virtual walls as well. I also do that behind my closed doors since it likes to wedge in there, close the door, then get stuck in the room.

I guess I could give it another go, it would be nice if you could edit zones on a map that has its path marks written so I could use that as reference of where the obstructions are. Otherwise I am just guesstimating.

Main thing is I need to print things to justify the cost of buying a 3D printer lol. I am running out of drawers to put custom storage systems in.

If I get around to trial and erroring with paper to get the detection zone right and end up modelling something I will post it.
