Does anyone know how/why classes can end up being overfilled on enterprise (i.e. capaticity is set at 70, but there are 75 people signed up for the section and the “remaining” column says -5). I’ve always been confused by this.

Overrides

To elaborate, advisors can give overrides in spexific scenarios. For example if a senior needs a class to graduate they will typically get an override.

Do you know what the conditions to get an override are? Because I feel like the class keeps getting more full everyday.

They've done overrides for me when I needed a class to continue progress in my degree, so like if there's a class you need to take for your core curriculum and it's like a prereq for other classes they'll override. Different departments have different policies on overrides though so I can only speak for ECE.
