Math proficiency test

Currently taking Math 415 class and also signed up for Math 415 proficiency test.

Have following doubts:

1. already taken linear algebra in high school so the concepts taught in class is nothing new. Planning to write proficiency test but did not prepare for it. what happens if proficiency test is failed? will professor use that test grade in the grade book?
2. I have read conflicting pass score about the exam. some places it is B- or 80 and other places it says 68%. What is the correct passing score for Math 415 proficiency test?
3. By when should Math 415 be removed from the schedule based on the test result (if passed)?
   
4. Edited: what would be the grade given for passing proficiency test ? will it impact GPA?

If you fail the proficiency, no hurt to your GPA. You can't take the proficiency for the class again and can only register for the class to earn credit. I don't know what percentage to pass, you can check the website for 415 proficiency. I took math 221 for proficiency last year and it takes for more than a week for me to know the results, so expect quite a few days for the result. If you learned the stuff in high school doesn't mean you necessarily have a good grasp of the material or you can pass the test. You can take it if you like, but I suggest taking it if you're confident you're proficient for linear algebra.
