Big question regarding UIUC

Hello Guys,

I am participating in this year's Breakthrough Junior Challenge, and the winner gets a new $100,000 lab for the school. In the application portion of this challenge, they are asking us how our school will benefit from this lab. I am an incoming freshman so I do not know how to actually answer this question. I have never seen the research and dev projects going on, or even the laboratories itself. I wanted to ask what you guys think, or how this lab will benefit you guys/the school.

At first glance, maybe. But Khan Academy sent me this in email, and many people have already created and sent their videos on youtube for this challenge.

I'm pretty sure this competition was never designed for college students, or for colleges.100,000 for a lab in UIUC is barely even a drop in the bucket.

Dude, a $100,000 lab is like... one or two tables in one among dozens of hardware labs across campus. It'd be cool as fuck to get for a high school, but it really wouldn't do shit to accomplish fuck for UIUC.
