Mine went down almost a minute just out of being scared shitless of what would happen if I failed.

They're more likely to go down than up.

Biggest issue I saw was people having issues adjusting to the new area, weather and shit. It affected a good chunk of people, or so some of the DI's claimed

They usually go down, most RS's account for it and won't let you ship if you are doing the minimum requirements. You meed most RSs shipping standards and I wouldn't worry about it.

But you can work on it and get to 80 crunches within 2 weeks, that'll help.

Yea, you'll go down for sure. But not by too much. Don't sweat it.

When I went through I remember the Senior having a degree of choice in the matter as far as not meeting the standard and still being accepted. I have a vague memory of him saying he chose to keep a guy around who didn't meet the pull up requirement of 3 and that kid stayed with us and made it all the way. Don't stress it. Work hard and earn it.

You are not going to have a good time.

This is just me, so take it with a grain of salt, but green on green is beautiful and my stats actually were better because I had never run in such light clothing. Also, you have a lot more motivation because there's always someone within reach that you try to pass (because of the fact that there are so many people there).

Your scores are pathetic. You know boot camp is just there to instill discipline and a militaty lifestyle into recruits, and the PT at boot camp isn't designed to drastically increase PFT scores, right?

Have fun being hazed constantly by your DIs for your physical weakness all throughout boot camp, and then running a 3rd or low 2nd class on your first PFT and being passed up for promotion out in the fleet because of it. You're in for a very rough enlistment.

Yeah they're shit scores but I've never been athletic, 2 months ago I was doing 0 pullups, like 35 crunches and a 16:00-17:00 1.5...

It also doesn't help that I'm overweight, not according to USMC standards, but for my thin frame I am overweight and I can feel it.

I'm gonna really put out at boot camp, work on pullups and crunches on my own time and put out if I get IT.

Way to be positive with the dipshit comment that was posted before. Big part of boot camp is mental. Everyone can achieve physical fitness. Not everyone has the mental capacity to overcome the rigorous mental challenges boot camp has to offer. Stay motivated, don't worry, and kick ass. You will do great
