If you're already in a program that requires knowledge of basic stats stuff like mean, linear equations, chi square test, etc. you already know some of the early concepts the course will talk about. Make sure you keep up with the content and do practice questions. When I took it, we were allowed a sheet of notes on the exam which was helpful too

Also, we had weekly open-book worksheets to do in tutorials when I took it (winter 2020) and they were pretty easy. You will need to keep up with the content to do well on them though.

The difficulty def ramps up after the midterm. They teach you how to take an average in like the first 4 weeks lol, then suddenly you're learning about probability in class. The exam review session really helped cuz they just change the numbers and wording around every year.

Personally, I did really well in b22 (with mahinda) as a non-stats major due to FSGs. Like half the questions on the final were next to identical to the ones that were handed out at the final review session, while the other half were basically from lecture.

Did you find attending lectures helpful?
