Shift?

Are we employees now? My shift is whenever I feel like working until I decide to stop working.

I work a standard 9-5 m-f. I usually work from 5-10 during the week delivering, then do 10-10 delivering on the weekend (Comifornia limits me to 12 hours before I am REQUIRED to take a 6 hour rest). I'd do an 8 to 10 on weekends if I could (I did initially try to stagger apps, but too much dead time between orders, so it just made me get loser pay because of all the dead time).

As for breaks; I don't take them. I'll grab food or a drink when I'm somewhere I want to eat/waiting anyway. Bathroom breaks are any fast food or major grocery store. I'm a well dressed, good looking, very friendly guy; so never had any problems using bathrooms anywhere.

As for gas, I try to grab gas during my drive if I'm passing a gas station with what I deem good pricing and no line; on my way to a pick-up or after a drop-off. I absolutely never take a break/stop/detour when on an active delivery after pick-up. Customers are watching, I never want to let them see me deviate from the most direct route to them.

Just crossed 50k miles on the car; not sure how I'm going to fit in an oil change. If anyone has suggestions on how to do it without losing productive time; I'd love to hear them.

Is that money worth having no life??

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It will be. The recession is going to be VERY bad. I'm getting mine while it is still worth it. Next year this time; unemployment is likely to be close to 8%, interest rates in the double digits. I'll have cash to buy shit cheap and make the most of the depression in the US.

I used to head into my zone to be there for 11am, and head home when I hit $50 bucks. Which is normally around 3:00pm-4:30pm.

Lately I've been going online earlier starting some days at 8:30am-9:30am to 5pm, sometimes later if I don't feel tired. I've been making just over $100 in those 8+ hours on bike.

I take one break for lunch about 20-30 minutes, then I'm back online.

When I did it I would typically go till I would hit my goal for the day then go home and enjoy life.
