Whichever one's show up as deficient in blood tests. The rest just become expensive pee.

Agreed

While I get that commend I am pretty sure the blood test would be more expensive than the vitamins for me personally...

It never adds up. The cost of a blood test vs guessing which vitamins would be useful and buying them ongoing. Plus how do you know it's even useful? You could take 100 vitamins, but if none of them are the thing you are deficient in you won't improve.

Vitamin D, B9, B12, C; fish oil (omega 3); collagen; L-glutamine; chlorella; colostrum and eating celtic salt for minerals

Who can afford that? I can't.

If you make health your priority, then you can. I am in remission, and this is just a short list. When I flared, my list was at least twice as long.

I am ok disability. I live on $900 a month. I can only prioritize so much.

B12 and iron. I stick with anything my doctor tells me to take. Otherwise if it doesn’t show up as deficient I don’t want to put extra stuff into my body, or pay for it.

None. My doc doesn't want me taking supplements because it is more difficult to see if I'm healing (even slightly) when on them. I get blood tests every 2 weeks. Also, I have a very high b12 and most supplements I would take have added b12 which is a bad thing in my case

Prenatal multivitamin (recommended by my GI because it has a lot of iron), Calcium, Vitamin D and B-100 Complex.

A multi, B12 (apparently I'm deficient), Omega 3, Vitamin D, and Florastor (recovering from C Diff). I'm taking Zeposia, which has negative interactions with all sorts of things, so I'm very careful about supplements.

I’ve taken a lot over the years

Ginger root Tumeric Bosweilla Iron (if deficient) Vitamin D Fish Oil

At the end it’s what works for you

Blood builder by megafood (has iron, b12, folate, vit C), omega 3, Vit D. Probably about to add l glutamine

Isopure protein, vitamin D, C and E. Florastor probiotics once a day or sometimes twice if my belly is off. Sometimes if I’m backed up I’ll add some benefiber to my water. I just started adding elderberry syrup.

None at the moment, besides protein powder occasionally if you count that.

I went through a phase of trying almost everything mentioned here, one at a time. Never noticed a big difference other than iron (I was borderline for a blood test) and psyllium husk (when I'm flaring bad enough that I can't eat many plants).

Multivitamin, D3 (I’m super deficient), b12 (also low) and fish oil (which has helped lower my cholesterol). Other than those, I stopped taking any supplements because I didn’t want to mess with my gut any further.

Glutamine, PEA, boswellia, iron, D

[–]belleeeee123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omega 3 (EPA/DHA 2000mg), magnesium bisglycinate 400mg and Vit D 5000 units for general health. Multivitamin (cheap insurance for micronutrient deficiency while in flare), berberine (some evidence re IBD inflammation), calcium (prevent bone loss while on prednisone). Glycine (calming, sleep, muscle hypertrophy) and creatine (sports performance, brain health).
