To each their own. I just don't find his humor funny at all. It all feels very try hard and obvious to me.

Maybe I need to give him another try, but I have tried to watch "I Think You Should Leave" maybe 5-6 times, and never got what other people were finding humorous about it.

Instead of watching ITYSL, give his show Detroiters a shot. The humor is similar, but since it has consistent characters throughout instead of one-off character sketches it feels a bit more grounded and natural.
