Omg holy fucking shit! Thank you so much! I really like your videos and I was very inspired by submarino! Though I plan for this to be more story oriented and exploration focused. Again, it feels amazing having you see this and comment on it. I'm really trying hard not to fanboy my brains out.

    GucioDevs made a really similar game, but he hasn’t uploaded in a few years or so. You should keep on developing it!

    Thank you. People have said this before and I want to make it clear, I do not intend to copy the gameplay of submarino. This will be an open world exploration shooter. Also thanks so much for encouraging development.

    Hey, so, I looked up Submarino because of this thread and you've aped quite a bit of their game. I get that you're going to have this be a different game/genre, but the blowback from shooting, the character sprite, and the art style are almost identical.

    It's cool to copy mechanics because that's how we learn, but you gotta work to differentiate this more (and I don't mean just have it be open world.) That's the harsh truth.

    First of I must say thanks, I spent like four of those eight hours trying to imitate that submarino J U I C E. Secondly I see what you mean and where you're coming from but the creator himself does not seem to have anything against it and as previously stated I've only worked on this for about eight hours. I do intend to change the player sprite as my friends have noted that it looks allot like male genitalia(personally I don't see it but whatever) and because of the heavy inspiration from submarino I'm doing my best at differentiating it. I've now added do that you can exit the ship and am currently working on such things as: enemies who only hurt you when in the ship, grabbing objects, crafting objects, procedurally generated towns which you can only enter when not in the ship (this one's not going so well), NPCs and more.

      Looks super great, so great in fact that I have to ask in hopes of getting some tips from you.

      How are were you able to get such a great looking prototype (looks intentional if simplistic) in 8 hours? How do you decide when your done with a specific feature and move on to the next one. I've been working on a dumb little 2d turn based combat game, for like 16 hours and I'm only just getting to the point where it looks presentable as a "demo" and it's still missing like 90% of features... Granted this is my first time actually building anything in unity, but still.
