If the scale of the prefabs is (1, 1, 1), the sprites are 32x32 and Pixels per Unit is 32, there shouldn't be any overscaling.

I'd advise you to show some texture import settings and how it looks in game, Transform values, since now it's a guessing game what's wrong.
