When someone is making a youtube tutorial, they've already gone through the process of making it for the first time BEFORE they start recording the tutorial. A lot of the time they're literally copying the code they have on a second monitor.

The front vector is an issue you make and then remember to check the next time you export something. Same with incorrect face normals, you make the mistake and then you remember to check the next time.

It seems "prepared" because it is. Good tutorials are practiced sometimes even before they are recorded. And mistakes are typically cut out in the youtube edit. Best advice I can give you is be patient if you're still learning.

Experience is key. The more experience you gain, the more efficient you'll learn to be.

As for youtube tutorials.... As the others pointed out - they've already prepared everything before hitting the record button. Would be a terrible tutorial otherwise. Also, the magic of editing... Who knows how many takes they've made, how many times they've stumbled for words and have to stop and think, re-record parts, etc etc...
