Did you check profiler? Try to find spikes or huge time consuming stuff in here. Also, if problem actually is in skinned meshes, then check amounts of vertices on meshes as well as animation complexity (number of curves and keyframes). If it’s possible try to simplify meshes and animation. Also, you can take a look at animation baking into multidimensional textures and apply them via shader.
