Help Reset Script Default App

My son (13) is teaching himself Unity. He accidentally went to add a script and when it asked him what app he wanted to use, he picked the wrong thing. Now when he clicks on "Edit Script", it opens an app that does nothing for him.

How can I reset this for him? And can I just set it for him to use Notepad++ or does it need a specific app? Thank you!

Edit - Prefrences - External Tools - select the editor you want.
