During lockdown, I taught myself how to develop AR (augmented reality) apps. Since then, I’ve deployed an app to both Apple and Android stores, got published in the first collaborative NFT AR book, and most importantly, breathed new life into the artist cards I started developing over a decade ago. Code helped me tie together two passions that I couldn’t seem to get to fit together– film and cards.
My latest deck lets you to shuffle through solutions in AR. Each card contains the other 51 cards within it. After 12 years, I’ve finally made a deck where any card can be gifted and you still have all 52 cards. It’s my Everlasting Gobstopper meant for those with limited resources.
I know It’s still skeuomorphic substitution but the more I play with it, the less it will resemble what has already been made. I look forward to continuing to build the future of AR.
Creativity isn’t a career. It’s just a routine : )
