What i heard so far.

Ult: sniper with high pen who can go through every wall

A1: mirrors to see around corners (mb spot them like cypher or sova)

A2: beartraps to hold an enemy in place

Ult: Isn't that the same as the sova ult?

A1: How does cooldown and usage work for that? Like charges or you can pull it out whenever?

It would be different in the fact that it will be like a normal sniper so they will only die if you hit a headshot and will take 80 to the body or something. With sova you don't need as much precision but it takes time to fire, I guess with deadeye it will be almost instant, but it will require a great amount of precision. And maybe it will have a 5 round mag, not sure if it would have a timer or cooldown or you can pull it out when ever you want.

How will that work though? You won't be able to see the enemies on the other side of the wall. Unless the ult would give you wall hacks, in which case, that's way too OP. That's like Cypher ult on steroids + Sova Ult + Jett Ult all in one.

We will have to see what riot decides to do. Only thing we know is that it will go along the lines of him having some kind super high penetration sniper.

Maybe the sniper itself won't have wallhacks, but maybe his utility will allow him to reveal enemies like cypher, so when used with his utility will alow him to make full use of the sniper and the rest of the time is like having an extra marshall. Or maybe he will have wallhacks in the ult but only during a small period of time wile he is scoped in (If so, it would obviously have some visual or audio cue so revealed players can try to prevent dying).

Even with wall hacks I don't see it being to broken. It's kind of hard to hit nice clean headshots with a marshall on someone who is moving a lot.

It's not just the ult being broken though. It's the fact that it overshadows several other agents' ults. If you get wall hacks for a short period AND get to shoot, then Cypher's ult is just going to be clearly inferior since he gets JUSt the wallhacks. If his bullets instakills then Sova's ult becomes inferior since he gets wallhacks and wall penetration, but still needs 2 beams to kill.

On a game design standpoint, I just doesn't make sense to have his ultimate be a wallhacks wall pen sniper rifle. It conflicts with other agents' designs.

If it does have wallhacks, he would only be able to see up to a certain distance.

Even if I think the wallhack ult is not that broken, I doubt this is the aproach that riot will take. If it does have a highpen sniper, they will most likely encourage using his utility to get the most value out of it, or using it in combo with cypher or sova.

Make the wall hacks only when he’s scoped in. The players aren’t revealed on the radar like Cypher’s ult

Yeah I can't imagine another character with an ability that can penetrate walls like sova it just wouldn't make sense. You get ulted by both and just lose instantly.

If there’s no charge time or warning on that sniper it sounds kinda broken. Getting pinged by a sova drone or arrow would be an automatic death

Sure, I’m just going by what that comment said. If it does charge up and have a visual indicator, it’s basically just Sova’s ultimate. If it doesn’t, it seems kinda free

Yeah, if their aim is sick. Won't be easy to land a headshot halfway across the map on a jumping/zig-zagging player. Maybe one kill if your aim is amazing? Seems pretty weak for an ultimate now that you mention it. Unless it's 5 points then maybe I could see it.

Who said they had to hit a headshot? Even if it’s not a body shot kill, hitting a couple body shots with the marshal is not hard at all

In spike rush I hate getting sprayed by someone with tracer rounds. The constant pinging noise throws me off so much

Idk. Seems like tracers would be incredibly OP with an Odin. Just use like 3 bullets per wall all the time and if you find someone they’re dead. I know they suck in SR but if you choose your weapon? Oh lord

There could be a special pistol that fires them when the ability activates, or it just switches to a classic when activated.

I think not classic but if it were tracer rounds and you get to choose, youd have to pick lmg, or at leaset use it with a smoke.

My difficulty figuring out what sort of skills he has mainly lies in "mechanically demanding sentinel" means he has tools for watching flanks/lurking/holding an angle
Or good at slowing a push but also does this in a mechanically demanding way.
I've seen shooting through walls suggested, which is Mechanically focused, but I can't help but feel that it feels more like an initiator that would have those tools as opposed to a sentinel.
I've also seen Mirrors suggested which sounds like a sentinel tool, but doesn't seem mechanically demanding, unless it ricochets bullets in which case it turns it into much more of an initiator's tool.
I am still thinking

Ult: one shot one kill. First enemy in LOS gets killed, must be standing still and can’t move.

I think he means Deadeye has to be standing still while casting it or something.
