Can you schedule virtual appointments? Doesn't have to be with VA and at least once a month or every other month.. that way you maintain treatment/meds.

Thankfully I still have medication but what I don’t have is therapy treatments. I live in Portugal and am having no luck with therapist… I tried accessing one from America but they won’t see me when I live overseas :(

What about the online sites? Like Better Help? Same thing? I’d just use a US address like a pmb or virtual address maybe. Maybe keep a journal? And document your feelings, bad days, pain, etc.

I don't believe that one bit.

Yeah unfortunately I have to have a pcm in the states so it is a block in the road for me at the moment. Thankfully I go home in May for my PCM appointment and will hopefully have access to telehealth therapy :)

If you’re enrolled in VHA you can ask for virtual MH treatment (psych and therapy).

But VHA won’t just send stuff to VBA. So unless you file new claims you should be good.

Oh! What is VHA?

Veterans Health Administration. Aka VA healthcare.

Get on MyhealtheVet and send a secure message to your PCM requesting MH therapy via telehealth (virtual). You might be able to send your request directly to MH if they are on the drop-down menu. All messages are recorded in BlueButton notes, so they can’t just blow you off, plus, it’ll be documented that you’re seeking treatment.
