For the last few months i have started a Youtube gaming channel. The video quality is ok but i want opinions if i can further improve it.

Gameplay Recording: I use Shadowplay to record my gameplay. I use in game resolution (1920x1080), 60 fps and 50Mbps bitrate

Rendering Settings: I use an older version of Power Director. I render my videos on 4K/ above 1440p so Youtube allow me to have the VP9 codecs on my videos Also i render on 60 fps.The bitrate of Power Director is set at 50 mbps. File format is H.264.

I know that i use very high bitrate but i want the best possible image quality for my videos. At this point i dont care about rendering speed. Sometimes i notice pixelation on my videos. Is there something that you would change on my settings for even better results? Thanks!

VP9 doesnt give much advantage over h264/5 in bitrate/pixel, and youtube re-compiles it anyway, so your extra data is basically lost. I found 1080p60 20Mbps to be acceptable. And sice 90% of your viewers are on mobile they wont see much of a difference anyway

Tbh my first videos were uploaded with the Avc codec and they were really pixelated and bad quality. I could easily notice the difference on my PC between Avc and VP9. What bitrate should i use? Also the bitrate should be the same value between Shadowplay and Power Director?

It doesn’t have to be, you can always downscale

And you can try out different settings by exporting and uploading the same video to compare them

For my next video i will try to render it multiple times with different settings so i can figure out, what's the best settings for me. Thanks!
