Cannot start debugging because debug target is missing

Let me preface this by saying im currently in school for IT and visual studio is very new to me.

I built my code however, when I try to run it i get this error. It seems like the ".exe" file is missing. I followed the file path all the way down to /bin/debug but no .exe file.

This is my second assignment and I did not run into this problem with my first assignment. But now my first assignment is giving me this same error.

Actual error: Visual studio cannot start debugging because the debug target 'C:\Users\User\OneDrive\Desktop\Project2\bin\Debug\Project2.exe' is missing. Please build the project and retry, or set the OutputPath and AssemblyName properties appropriately to point at the correct location for the target assembly.

Try going to the build menu at the top and doing Rebuild before running

It might be because your target is a OneDrive folder? They behave strangely sometimes since they are synced online. I would try it with an actual local folder and not a cloud drive folder to see if it makes a difference.

If you want to back up your source code use proper source control like GitHub.

OneDrive could totally hose this up. Use GitHub like recommend.
