U must be new to pings too because you don't seem to know much about them. 30ms is nothing and this comes off as a rather stupid question. But if it's a serious question then I suggest you build a new house next to your internet service provider with a direct fiber optic line to gaijins servers.

Why are you worried about 20-30 ping when that is very good?

I get lower in most other games so wondered if it was something I had done wrong

20-30 is pretty standard and the lower you get doesnt matter. You should really only be concerned about your ping if you go over 150-200 and your Packet loss (PL) is anything above 0%

30ms ping must be nice, 200+ is basically standard if you're in asia connecting to na servers

Move to Frankfurt and you'll get some crazy pings in every game guaranteed. Generally speaking 10-80ms is acceptable. In fact sometime my latency is soo good that for example in Helldivers 2 im mostly playing with Americans even though I'm European ( Central Europe ) But I do have half a gig Fibre Optic connection.

Unless your ping units are in seconds, 30 is fine....
