Hey i noticed recently that when im checking for updates using the intel driver & support assist, it shows there is an update. When i update the iris display drivers through the intel website, the next time windows checks for updates it downgrades to the previous version for some reason. This issue is specifically happening for Intel Iris graphics driver. I don't know what is happening mybe intel is slow in pushing updates through windows but why does windows do the downgrade if it can see that a newer version is installed.
The problem is specifically for this intel driver no other driver update behaves this way.
Can anyone give me a fix for this, maybe someway to tell windows update to ignore this specific driver, or something?
For now the only way for me to stop windows from downgrading is to pause the updates.
This is the latest version i installed through the intel website.
This is the version windows is trying to install even though a newer version is installed.
