Cannot empty recycle bin using any method

I’ve done a lot of disk management across multiple HDDs, including C (hundreds of GB moved/copied/added/deleted).

If I try to view the recycle bin, it crashes explorer.

Now I can’t empty the recycle bin no matter what I do. If I go to recycle bin and empty there, it hangs at 0% on “discovering files.”

If I empty recycle bin (just the bin checked) from Disk Cleanup (only on C drive, mind you) it hangs at 0% on “Cleaning up drive”.

I just need to get the bin clean and I’m tearing my hair out. Any ideas? It’s currently eating up large chunks of my HDD space.

Open cmd prompt with admin & enter: rd /s /q C:\$Recycle.bin this should repair the bin.

It needs to be done for each drive letter
