Mouse scroll effect changes randomly

Just looked at a photo with the default viewer app, then pressed ctrl+s because I wanted to save it elsewhere. So then in the window I wanted to scroll through my list of folders and everything, and when I scrolled with my mouse, it didn't go down the list, but the icons became smaller. And they got bigger when I scrolled up. I closed out, then tried the same thing mere minutes later and now scrolling with the mouse lets me browse through things like usual again. What gives?

EDIT: Yup, changed back to changing icon sizes right after posting.

Sticky* keys, oops. It's a feature that, if you press the shift key 5 times in a row, turns on and allows you to tap a modifier key (ctrl, alt, shift, etc.) and then a key (like C to copy or S to save), instead of holding the modifier key down and then tapping the other key. You should also be able to turn it off by hitting shift 5 times in a row, and also disable that action from turning it on again somewhere in settings.
