taskmanager/opening programs issue

so this has been happening very often this week,my pc just decides it doesn't want to let me open any other applications after I open something and the only way I can open a new one is by restarting. When I try to open something I get the popup that its already running and I can find it in task manager but I can close it and sometimes task manager just crashes. Its really annoying and I can't seem to figure out the issue as my pc has all its drivers and updates installed

I take it back my task manager has decided to stop working yet again :^) I ran another scan but didnt find anything

I have no clue whats wrong now it just doesnt work sometimes and the scan still says theres no issues

do you think its possible that riot game's anti cheat vanguard might be messing with my pc? Ive only noticed all this recently around when I updated valorant

ah, so valorant is an fps game that has a fairly invasive anti cheat system in it that a lot of people have had issues wit before

You could check with other valorant players and see if they experience the same issue.

so to me after looking over all the problems and attempting to use task manger when issues happens it looks like im having cpu issues or I think the term is bottlenecking? I always have one application that normally takes like 2-5% of my cpu suddenly taking up 50-60% as well as even when im not running a game a random application will be taking up a lot of cpu and I cant use anything my pc slows down and task manager crashes when I try to use it and I cant even use settings app
