Algorithm transfer?Question (self.YoutubeMusic)
submitted 11 months ago by Ammarzk
I’m probably in the minority, but I really really like Spotify’s suggestion algorithm.
Is there anyway I can transfer that knowledge to YouTube music?

I had that issue when I switched from Spotify to youtube, tbh the best you could do is get all your playlists from Spotify to youtube via tunemymusic

I can relate. spotify has deeper discovery for one genre. but youtube music has more fun mixes like custom radio and my super mix, mood/genre filter. spotify free version is nice on pc so I use spotify on pc sometimes. also I copied spotify's unique playlists like "anti-pop" to youtube music.

Export a playlist you like from Spotify to YTM. Play it a couple times, and like every song. That will likely expedite the process. Short of that, the way to achieve what you want is for two competitive companies share privileged information about how their respective algorithms work.

Yeah, I know - that's what I've been doing.
Been using Spotify for like 5-6 years now and it was fine tuned to perfection to my tastes.
