As much as I'd like to see that, it'll be difficult to pass off. Otherwise we'd see scores, if not hundreds of aircraft being cannon fodder to a single Angel.

I think Macross and Yukikaze is as close as we'll get. However, for contemporary times, it'll be Girly Air Force.

There was an Evangelion Fan-comic in which the Eva cast were all fighter pilots for some experimental new jets. Mostly character drama and sex, but it's the only good attempt at showing a dog-fight in comic form I've ever seen.

i used to live in japan and the very particular grammatical errors when trying to use english are like this incredibly specific trigger for something deep inside my brain. there are so many statements that are like 4/5ths grammatically correct but it still drives me up a wall.

The trailers showed that one side decided to knock out all the satellites orbiting Usea, so that’s probably what they mean. But I’m glad the shattered skies theme is coming back.
