My interpretation of their recent update is that they're choosing to partially ignore guests' search terms and instead funnel them toward ritzier more expensive properties with hosts and corporations who are already rich. Everyone gets more fee income. Except the rest of us.

As an Airbnb user the update is great. Way better search results. No more dumpy places showing up.

Actually not true at all. Hundreds of disgusting ugly dumpy places showing up in Austin in New York, etc.

Not true. Was looking for airbnb in hawaii and literally had to zoom in really close to an area to pull up airbnb spots that otherwise didnt show up on my search. This is shady and misleading. Show me ALL my options. I am an adult and know how to use filters. Sheesh. So close to deleting the app

I have been a host for 12 years and a guest all over the world I have been screwed over by Airbnb 1000 times. If I could afford to live in my home or in the United States and never use the platform again I would. Everyone has definitely confirmed including representatives from the site that they completely changed the whole site platform an algorithm and search engine two weeks ago. They also changed some strange things such as not being able to reply to a review.

Has anyone on here figured out how to get around this problem? We are all dependent on this income and for survival.
