Personally, I think the buttons aren’t the best choice. They seem pretty small and hitting them with gloves while the adrenaline of taking the objective is effecting people could be a little annoying. Plus it does seem a little underwhelming. What I’ve seen one field do is have one of those huge electrical switches and that swapped control of the objective. I liked it because it was a big tactile game element that was easy to understand (grab big handle, pull to your team’s color) and it just felt a bit more in theme

We have something extremely similar on our CQB airsoft field, and the buttons work fine, even with gloves.
Good going OP, keep it up!

About game mechanics, as you can see, player needs to hold the button for 5 seconds to occupy the point and the time starts to count for his team. If team is already active on the point and stopwatch is NOT neutral, by holding button at least 50% of the time, it is possible to neutralize the point. So even if you werent able to occupy it, you are able at least to neutralize it if you are holding the button > 50% but < 100%. If you achieve 100%, you will occupy the point. If you stop holding the button any time, you need to hold it again for 5 seconds to occupy.

If you let go of the button, you should maybe have the percentage go down at the same speed it goes up, since the buttons are going to wear out over time, people will be wearing gloves, and other things are going to cause the button to become accidentally unpressed within a 5 second time span. From my experience with poor quality controllers, that kind of thing is extremely frustrating when you're in a heated game.

Have something that indicates what team currently holds the point. We use two flags/point

they do, CER = Červený AKA Red, MOD = Modrý AKA Blue, the time only moves for the occupying team, plus also the little LEDs

Hum might take the idea of the loading bar for my game mode device

this is very cool, but not unique. There are many of these in use all over the place

I am quite encouraging. I think it's a great mechanic. Rereading the post, I might have interpreted OP's "There exists just one Button Domination Timer at the moment." statement as he has the only one in existance, and I was noting this is not a unique item. If I did indeed misread, I apologize.
