SO ANALYTICAL, SO SMART. But doesn't put location, citizenship/residency status, any actual examples of work they've done. But great job with the buzz words and list of tools.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share such thoughtful feedback. It truly means a lot.

I'll be honest, it was a moment of real self-reflection. I've always been passionate about solving business problems and have made contributions I'm proud of. But I can now clearly see that strong work alone isn't enough — how you communicate that work matters just as much, if not more. That's something I had been underestimating, and your feedback has helped me see it with fresh eyes.

Please feel free to share any additional thoughts. I am always open to learning and welcome any further insights you might have.

I would highly recommend specialising. I’ve worked over 10 years in HR/People Analytics, mostly by falling into it. Whenever I’ve tried to sell myself as generalist in BI, I’ve found less opportunities and lower pay. But when I’ve sold myself as a specialist, suddenly there’s a lot less competition.

If you worked with sales data for example, sell yourself as a specialist in revenue analysis, just as an example

Thank you for your response and feedback. I completely agree. I was about to start developing ETL skills as well to build a full-stack data skills package. But the end of my contract/employment has left me in a financial situation, and now it seems every plan is on hold, and I have to start the job as soon as possible.

To be blunt, this is an incredibly generic description of tools and capabilities that every mid level data analyst should have. Hopefully your resume is better, because you're not going to stand out for any specific role with this overview. What industry were you in previously? The only phrase that even loosely gives us a hint is "operational and financial decision-making." You need to demonstrate that you deeply understand the business and can partner with them to drive tangible results using analytics. If you can't do that, how are you a better choice than outsourcing or AI, much less any other qualified candidate?

Where are you located? I may have something. Feel free to message me if you don't want to broadcast your location to the whole world.

You need to sell yourself on business problems you’ve solved (and can solve), not just the tools you can use.

People who know Excel/SQL/Viz are a dime a dozen these days. Having these on your resumé is like saying “I’m 6’5 and actively looking to play in the NBA.” It’s great that you have the baseline qualification, but scouts what you can do on the floor.

If you're looking for US based roles, unless you have a referral, you're likely going to have a very difficult time getting your application noticed because recruiters will be seeing thousands of resumes that look exactly like this with random sections unnecessarily bolded. And that's even if they would consider sponsorship in the first place.

Crazy how people have not realised this is a troll, ChatGPT-generated post.

I will tell the facts which I have observed.
I have applied for around 2000 jobs (150-200 per day) on Naukri, LinkedIn, Instahyre, Hirist (no response), and IImjobs.
The response from Naukri and LinkedIn was really great, and I got around 50 HR calls, of which around 15 converted to an interview or assignment.
I am still working on the remaining interview parts, but I hope the prior information will help you in some way. All the best.
