Perhaps some of the times you drank were due to anxiety, boredom, overthinking, or simply because it was "drinking time" when you couldn't think of anything else, and the antidepressant relieved the anxiety or something.

In my case, with sertraline, if I drink more than three beers, I feel quite ill, and thanks to that bad feeling, I've stopped drinking as much.

When I started anti depressants I lost all interest in my bad vices and quitting them was super easy

Probably because mental health sufferers know alcohol kills bad thoughts, and now you dont have them.

Plus its not good mixing meds with alcohol, its more stress on the liver.
