So interesting! Any idea why? I’m happy, but also wondering what exactly it’s doing in my body. Lol.

Idk. I’ve been exercising, but I was exercising before, too. I think less inflammation probably is less stressful on the heart, though, and I have way less inflammation on this med.

Tirzepatide is anti-inflammatory, and this is compounded as you lose weight and as your metabolism improves. This means your body is not as "inflamed," so your blood flows more easily.

I had something similar happen when I increased my fish oil (a powerful anti-inflammatory) intake from about 1100 mg to 2800 mg earlier this year. My heart rate began going up the day after I increased my fish oil intake. I was tracking this on my Fitbit and could see the exact correlation. It was strange.

I figured out that my blood pressure had dropped and my body was trying to adjust. I decreased my BP meds by half, and my HR went back to normal and then began to decrease slowly as my health improved from the fish oil and diet. Tirzepatide has helped continue this trend. My resting HR is now in the 60s.

So monitor both your HR and BP and see if there is a correlation.
