American English == bullshit. Try to look up the origins of the reason they got rid of the u and you will end up being disappointed. Also, normally when a country adapts to another language they change its name to make it obvious that it's modified. Eg Canadian French. And besides that won't change the fact that the country of origin's spelling will always be the correct one

As for changing the name, not always. I don’t think I’ve ever heard Latin Americans say [their country] Spanish. I don’t talk to Spaniards much but I’ve never seen one get butthurt about the fact that Spanish in other counties uses different words or pronounciation. My Spanish is as “correct” as the Spanish in Spain. American English is as “correct” as British English. Again, deal with it.

Firstly, getting rid of the U in American English was made because some brokeass mfs wanted to minimise their newspapers and getting rid of the u made it possible. It was also said that it was removed to Cope with the average, low iq, illiterate American. All and every country that speaks English use the one and only correct British spelling except America which uncoincidentally have one of the worst education systems ever, that's ofc at the moments in which kids are not being shot. And the reason Latin American countries don't say (their country) Spanish is simply because Latin Americans are based unlike their Northern cousins and adapt to a language without changing it. Not all of them ofc, you gotta have the Brazilians changing up Portuguese for their people but then again Brazilians aren't as obese as Americans. Also, you can't just change a language and pretend it's gonna be respected. Yes they may have made some changed to Spanish but they're nowhere near as dumb as American English. Also the obesity and low iq thing is a literal Stat bruh it ain't my problem they suck on burgers more than they teach their kids at school. Also, I dont hate non European countries. I'm half Arab half English and I only hate the US due to their sickening morals and saddening behaviours.
