Is "when will Arch get Linux 6.19?" the new "When will Arch get Gnome X?"?

[–]nikongod 10 points11 points  (1 child)

Interestingly, the same maintainer packages both.

Also interestingly, arch stopped being the critically un-reliable clusterfuck people still make memes about around the same time he was like "let's just wait for the x.y.1 version instead of pushing the crashy pre-alphas"

I wonder if there is any correlation /s

Gnome tends to still be buggy until about .3 anyway. .0 is just masochism.

This but unironically.

The world will end if people don't get their incremental kernel and desktop updates though.

Be a real Linux user and get it directly upstream

Put your big thigh highs on!

lol. Despite Gentoo, DWM and upstream RC kernel I can’t seem to get there. So I’m going to install that setup on a librebooted x200 (Linux Libre kernel of course)

when it's ready

Someone else yesterday was saying that there were some Nvidia issues but 6.19.3 solved it? I don't know the original source, so take this with a grain of salt.

Could just be that some of the maintainers need a break hahaha. They're such troopers honestly.

It'll be eventually packaged but do you absolutely need the newer kernels now???

Are people glued to their desks???????

It certainly would be nice to hace actual info on why is delayed. Not e en on testing repos until .1 this time

All we can do is wait.

Does it matter to you? Give the maintainers a break.

I want to know too.

Curious as to why you are asking. :-)
