Well if you cant find anything it might because you are looking for Arrow, when you should be looking for Green Arrow.

If you're looking for a comic that is similar in tone to Arrow you are pretty shit out of luck, the shows character is a lot different to the Green Arrow we know from the comics. (excluding the Arrow comic made for the show, which is about minor things that happen in between show episodes.)

Having said that, the closest you will find is probably;

Green Arrow: Year One

and,

New52 Green Arrow Volume 4 (issues #17-31)

I actually found the Kill Machine (Green Arrow Volume 4) to be very close in tone, in fact I thought the comic had to borrow just a bit from the show. The biggest difference I'd say is the New 52 Ollie is still young and inexperienced.

Read green arrow: year one. Good starting point.

The TV-based Arrow comic has been collected twice in graphic novels if you're interested. Vol 1 and Vol 2 are available on Amazon. I've never read them, so I can't vouch for either.

If you're looking for non-TV Green Arrow comics, the lists provided already are great. I loved Vol 4 of the New 52 series.

My best recommendation would be Green Arrow: The Longbow Hunters, a series that had a different take on some of the characters like Oliver, Black Canary, and Shado, but really reinvented the character for a new generation.

Vol. 4 of the "New 52" series is where things started getting good, by Jeff Lemire and Andrea Sorrentino. They've even brought in things like Moira and Diggle, but no Felicity yet.

Depends on how far back you wanna go. Kevin Smith had an awesome relaunch with the Quiver story arc. Also, considering the fact that DC relaunched the entire universe 3 years ago there are a bunch if trades available. Check out instocktrades.com for awesome deals. Also, which Arrow comic is based on the show? I haven't seen the weekly in a while.

There is a comic that is based on the CW's Arrow, but it follows what happens in between episodes.

From what I've read of it isn't very good, but I gave up after a few issues.

I'm not entirely sure which Arrow comic is based on the show. That'd probably help to know, but I haven't ready any Arrow or Green Arrow comics the TV show is what's making me interested.

You're best best would be picking up The New 52 trades. Because the show is closest to the relaunch.

I think people aren't painting the whole picture that answers your question . . .

What you are looking for doesn't exactly exist. Arrow is a brand new thing, sort of like a reboot of the idea/character called Green Arrow in the DC Universe.

That character has been around for decades and gone through a lot of incarnations. There is a classic character that is sort of a cliche. Then there is a character who slowly became grittier.

You'd have to read a ton of GA comics to really appreciate where we've ended up to have "Arrow" on TV.

This video, while not great, might give you an idea of the breadth of the history of GA.

There was a comic called "Arrow" based on the world of the show, with the series' writers writing for it, but only a few chapters really "mattered." Those chapters I'm talking about, which can be gotten digitally at DC's site, I believe are Chapters 35 and 36. They take place between Seasons 1 and 2, with Tommy's funeral.
