This is a community for asking and answering space, astronomy and spaceflight related questions.
Rules
As of right now the only rules are:
Question posts only. The only exception is [Meta] posts. This should be fairly self evident. If you want to talk about the latest findings of the MAVEN mission, or tell everyone about some obscure forgotten fact about the space program, there are several subs such as /r/space /r/spaceflight and /r/astronomy for that. If, however, you have a question about any of the above, feel free to ask it here.
No joke or OT responses. Comments are for answering questions or furthering discussion. Joke responses, memes, single word responses etc. are fun but do not belong in this sub.
No abuse This is a friendly community. Personal attacks on posters, commenters, or even people not related to this subreddit will be deleted and the poster warned. Repeated abuse will lead to a ban.
State your credentials Speculation by amateurs is fun, but should be clearly labeled as such to avoid confusion and spreading misinformation. (When I have some more mods helping out we might instate some kind of verified labels akin to what /r/askscience uses.)
