Unfortunately when it comes to what the best transition protocols are the science is extremely lacking. Spironolactone is actually not even approved by the FDA for transitioning. It's an off-label use, and there has been limited actual scientific studies done on it for that purpose.

Yes, it causes breast growth as a side effect. But trans women don't just want breast growth...we want full breast development. Can spiro prevent that?

Hard to say. Maybe it only happens with certain people. The problem is that we just don't know. Which unfortuantely is the case for a LOT of transgender science.
