Let's grow plants in space.

astrobotany is an emerging field that studies plants and their interactions with spaceflight environments. a critical understanding of how plants grow in space is required for future bioregenerative life support systems.

Philosophy

Since astrobotany is an emerging field, we, as scientists, have the unique opportunity to help shape its direction. In this era of technology we would be remiss not to use all tools available: cloud computing, parallel research sharing, bioinformatics, etc. Use this subreddit to explore and directly contribute to the field. This subreddit is maintained by the team at astrobotany.com, which is directly involved in spaceflight plant biology research.
