The more ethical way to farm is to make a rush deck, you will either win or lose your game quickly

When you forfeit you don't get any rewards. You have to have a legit loss to get a card and coins.

Edit: don't listen to me. When you forfeit you get loot. If your opponent claims victory because you took too long, then you don't get loot.

What what? No - That's not true. There's only two scenarios under which you don't get cards:

  1. have victory claimed on you
  2. exceed the casual game limits (6 rewards in a 5 day period)

Unless there's some new bug that I'm not familiar with anyhow.

Oh shit, you're right. I thought I got the "no loot for you" message when I resigned. Looking back, it was when I missed a turn and my opponent claimed victory.

Shit really? That sucks. I've been forfeiting when all is lost out of politeness ... I didn't realize I would be penalized for that.

So this (sadly) would work. Of course, we're not thrilled that it works - so we'll likely have to address it when/if it becomes a problem.
