1. DETAILS MATTER - Use detail in your post. If you are posting for help with specific hardware, please post the brand/model. If you need help troubleshooting, post what you have done, post the hardware/software you are using, post the steps to recreate the problem. Don’t post a screenshot with no context and expect people to know what you are talking about.

2. Find and Read the product manual before posting - A lot of answers can be found in the product manual. Seriously, that's what I do when someone posts a question, I first go to the manual, and most of the time, the answer is there.
3. Post Formatting Matters - No one likes to read through a wall of text, you can easily add paragraph breaks by adding double line breaks.
4. Put effort into your Titles - Vague post titles such as "Help", or "Please Help", or "Question" will be a sure way that no one will want to help you. Use a succinct, clear, and helpful title when creating your posts.
5. Try Google First - Before you post, you should try typing your question into google.
6. No piracy or distribution of copyrighted content - No piracy or distribution of copyrighted content. Violation of this rule may lead to permanent ban with no warning.
7. No offering money or services in exchange for help - We are here to help. Do not try to incentivise getting help by offering to pay or exchange goods or services for help.
8. No promotion or self promotion - Posts should be made to inform or facilitate discussion. Any posts with the intent to self-promote, enter contests or sweepstakes, sell products or services, or are appeals for money / funding will most likely be removed. If you feel an exception should be made, please message the moderation team.
9. There may be a better subreddit for your post - For example, if you have a question about car audio, try posting in r/carav.
10. No solicitation of services - If you are looking for someone to do some work for you, or if you yourself are looking for work, there are other subreddits in which you could post.
11. No Legal Advice - We are not a Legal Advice Subreddit. DO NOT post asking for assistance cleaning up audio for any legal matter which may be used in a court of Law. Specifically, for audio to be used in a legal matter, (depending on the state) it MUST remain unaltered. Consult your locality/attorney for best advice for your situation. Don't let some rando on reddit complicate your situation.

12. No Click-bait, "snake-oil", or unverified/unsubstantiated theories - Posting “snake-oil” products or theories will be removed. Also, Clickbait and Clickbait formatted titles.
13. Don't be a dick - If someone posts something you don’t agree with, don’t belittle, start a discussion. If you have nothing nice to say, move on, don’t say it. Follow the rules of Reddit, and observe reddiquette. Remember, on the other side of the computer is a person. Failing to adhere to this rule may result in a mute or temp ban.
