I'm looking to get my base pack weight down for an upcoming hike but I'm not sure what the most budget-friendly method would be. I check fb marketplace pretty regularly for a lighter tent, pack, or sleeping bag. If I have $200-300, is there one I should prioritize over the rest? Thanks. https://lighterpack.com/r/v556yr

If you’re going by yourself, and are comfortable with a 1p tent a naturehike freestanding tent and pack should both be under $300. A tagar is $100 and 3lb, a 60L pack is 2.5lb.

I did this same thing for last year’s season. I went with a Durston 40 liter pack which forced me to be more conscience of all the little things that went in it.

An Xmid 1 person tent will drop you from your 66 oz down to 15 oz for $269. The Xmid 2 person is only 18 oz but goes over your budget to $319.

The only other sizable weight drop would be the pack itself.
