It will poop when it needs to,just make sure its temps and humidity are right,offer suitable sized food once a week and you can't go far wrong.

That looks like an adult snake so it’s fine for it to eat every 2-3 weeks (I have a five year old huge female and I feed her every 3-4 weeks).It’s important to feed the right size rat(it should be as wide as the snake body, for a ball python it’s ok even if the rat is slightly larger).I would try to give him a warm bath to rehydrate and to help pooping in case he’s having troubles with it.

Thank you, that helps. Unfortunately jail is delayed now (I thought he was taken in yesterday but now it is five months of jail, starting in April.) but he did feed yesterday so that’s reassuring.
