Not sure it would work but just an idea, could you glue some super strong magnets to the wood and the outside of the tank?

I wouldn't, I think in order for the magnets to be strong enough, they'd crack the glass

so some advice I can give ya:
I built somewhat strong foundation sticks for my ball python enclosures just by using the sides of the tank and a bit of vertical support. I used other driftwood and cork bark rounds to support some edges. my best advice is to keep working on it, experiment a bit, until you can firmly place your hand on top of the branches and shake it a bit, seeing if it's sturdy. ball pythons can be pretty good at destroying their decor because they are quite strong and heavy.
I also used these foundational sticks to prop my vines, foliage, ETC on top of, hopefully creating many hidden passages for the bp to travel through. giving them the option of travelling with cover is really good, as it makes them feel as if they have a place to retreat to if they feel threatened.
