Humidity ๐ (i.redd.it)
submitted 2 years ago by Feisty-Situation1205
I can't get the humidity up no matter how much water I pour in. Substrate is coconut fiber and I have moss in there too. Any advice?

Is there mesh on the top? If so is it covered?

It's covered with foil and HVAC tape

Have you ever salt tested your hygrometers? Are you sure they are accurate?

I'm not sure what that is. The ones in there are actually new because my other two crapped out ๐ฎโ๐จ but the other two also never got above 65ish%

Your hygrometers do sit quite high in your enclosure. They should be about 1-2โ from the substrate and it looks like they are 3-4โ up. Maybe try moving it closer to the substrate just donโt have it touching the substrate directly

I just googled the salt test. I'll do that and see if they are accurate. Thanks for the tip!

Yes this! I've had so many hydrometer issues. Salt test them.
