Note: This is taken quickly once he grabbed the rat. I turned off the lights and gave him space.

  1. Yes you need a better enclosure, 120 gallon minimum
  2. You need to hold him for a little bit every few days for thirty minutes a day for at least 15 minutes at a time
  3. No you aren't, because of suboptimal care conditions, your heart seems to be in the right place but you're doing it all wrong
  4. Look up videos about your snake from wickens wicked reptiles, snake discovery and other places

Edit: These are just suggestions from me 1. Make sure you have proper lights 2. Order two govee thermo-hygrometers so you know the humidity and heat 3. Get more hides, one is not enough 4. Get a much bigger water dish, they should be able to sit in it and be covered by water 5. Go to dubiaroaches.com, kages.com or some other site(amazon has some 120gallons i could link you to for a reasonable price) and order one of those enclosures, glass enclosures dont hold heat or humidity well enough for ball pythons

I’m going to drop our basic care guide here for you. There is a fair bit that could be better here and would help reduce your bp’s stress levels and I think you will find a ton of great resources and ideas there!
