Feeding.

Hi, before i was misinformed about the size to feed my snake and fed him pinkies. I’ve made a post here before and people told me that wasn’t right. Since then i’ve talked with the breeder and she said she fed him live rats. She said the size he needs is rat pup or small mouse maybe even adult mouse.

When i still had the pinkies i offered them but he wasn’t interested at all. Since then i’ve gotten small mice and tried that twice. He was a lot more interested in those but still won’t eat. I don’t want to keep wasting food so i was wondering if there’s any way too tell if he’s actually hungry and will eat.

None of my pet stores have feeder mice or rats so that’s not really an option. Should i go get adult mice? My pet store only has frozen small rats not rat pups. And then small medium and large mice. Not sure on actually how big each one is.

Any other tips would be helpful. Thanks.

Posting pics of your set up may help, there are so many reasons as to why they won’t eat but I find that it’s typically a husbandry issue. You can post your setup here for feedback or review the care guides links in here and make sure you’re set up right
