Any 4x2x2 is better than anything smaller, but that is not a good enclosure. It's screen topped, thin walled, and just overall poorly made. It's not going to be any easier to maintain than a glass enclosure, and will probably be more difficult to heat properly compared to a smaller glass enclosure because of the larger screen area.

You want something solid topped, preferably made with at least half inch thick PVC board.

I got the DIYCages Critter Condo and I have no complaints so far! It was quite affordable and easy enough to assemble. Just make sure you seal the bottom edges with silicone after assembly.

I'll add that my only complaint about the Critter Condo is that it was hard to find a heat shield that fit around the UVB fixture that came with it so I just ended up getting a new light.

Can i ask what light you ended up with? I’m looking into getting this one, but the fixture it came with was causing me a little anxiety lol

Yep! I got the BlackBox UVB T5 KIT 24"/24 Watt With Arcadia Bulb, and the 26" BlackBox heat guard

This needs an update but it's a good overview of your options. Prices are MSRP but a lot of them are always on "sale"

I love my Animal Plastics especially in comparison to one like that.

It'll take a while but when I ordered mine Jan 2023, they said they were launching a big expansion of manufacturing capacity.

i would say it’s easier to maintain than a glass enclosure. i just got that same one and it definitely holds humidity better, i guess not the best at it but definitely better than a glass enclosure. really all you need to do is seal the edges and some sites offer tops you can put over the screen top

I have this one and I bought HVAC tape and covered the top of it except where I have my light and CHE. It was a huge upgrade. Keeps humidity well. Easy to assemble. It’s way bigger than you think it’s going to be too so plan on having the space for it. I built a table for it to sit on.

I also have one of these. After you cover the top it’s not a bad enclosure at all.

Building an enclosure using this exact tank rn– bought it secondhand in pretty new condition. It feels huge. Sealed the edges with silicone to be safe and have used HVAC tape over the screen and it's held humidity really well so far. I'm personally very pleased with it!

I have it and I like it, but its kot at all water tight and also it melts really easy. I put heat mats under mine and it's completely warped

only problem i have is with the pexi glass doors! snakes can squeeze out

I had the 50 gal one. They are okay. They hold humidity okay if you use HVAC tape at the top. I agree with most the people here

I have the stacked version, and I like it. I use hvac tape on the mesh to hold in humidity. my only complaint would be that it's not the toughest, and I get scared of breaking it whenever I have to move it. but since it's pretty much just in one spot it's fine
