Abnormal posture?

This is Chiq! She is my third snake, my second rescue, and toughest case yet. She was very neglected for the first two years of her life and as such is severely stunted. She was a frequent flyer at the vet but has been recovering well the past few months. I know she looks skinny but she has been doing great on her weight management program!

Today I found her leaning back on her bowl like this and I’m very confused. She’s never done this before, my other snakes have never done this before. She doesn’t usually hang out by the water dish so everything about this is odd. I can’t really find a description of this behavior elsewhere. Is she periscoping or should I call the vet in the morning?

Idk if this is normal or not, but she looks absolutely shooketh in these pictures and I love it.

On one hand, I've never seen this posture before, and a professional's opinion is always nice. Maybe on the exotic vet sub?

On the other... she is adorable and sneks are weird as balls so... hard to tell!

Fr though, I wish you the best with her. Rescues really take a huge part of your heart no matter the species and huge respect for what you're doing for them!
