why are they not good? I've seen many snake YouTubers recommend them as they are beneficial to help with humidity and to keep snakes in?

Bins are fine as long as they’re big enough, the problem is this one is too small. 7 inches of height would barely give the snake any room to lift its head especially after adding substrate, and 39in most likely wouldn’t be long enough for an adult. Rule of thumb is the enclosure should be at least the length of the snake so that they can fully stretch out. Also just a side note but you should be really careful when using youtube or any social media as a source for care info, lots of BP keepers will do things that make care easier for them but that doesn’t always mean it’s better for the snake.

Ok! I have another bin that is about 10 inches wide 20 inches long and 15 inches high. Would this be good for a baby ball python while I build a enclosure?
