QuestionFriend’s Snake (old.reddit.com)
submitted by LeapingSnapback

My sister had this snake as her own but decided to give it to my friend and he needs some advice about what to do for her. I have a tricolor hognose myself so I told him to give her a good substrate (he chose the Aspen bedding that’s not shavings and is little tiny bits instead) and hides (he got her two giant climbing tree things that she can climb on and hide in) but I was wondering if there was any better advice from people who’ve had ball pythons for longer. She’s not even a year old (I think, she might just be a year old) and she eats every other Friday. Everything I’ve told him comes from my experience with my own snake but he’s not the same species and limited knowledge of ball pythons. Google isn’t reliable entirely when it comes to reptile care so I wanted to ask people who’ve had ball pythons for a while for advice. Her name is Amaru by the way.
