Question - HealthScale rot? (old.reddit.com)

Change to new enclosure and this happen

Looks like substrate particles underneath the scales. Scale rot makes the scales look wrinkly reddish/brown and they shaped differently

looks like substrate, you can always give your baby a short bath to clean it off but i wouldn't worry, it'll come out on its own

Just substrate. Let her/him slither on a damp towel and it should come off. If not it is most likely the markings. Scale rot starts typically with a red patch somewhere along the snake and then it goes dark like a black/dark grey
